Fascinating, those images from yesteryear.
Growing up in Holland, there were real winters back then. Now it doesn’t freeze anymore at all. Look up IJSZEILEN in Google: lots of images from the past with people on wooden shoes and real boats on skates. I was not able to attach these; is there another way to share?
