We had another great regatta at Loring last weekend, with both Blokarts and Unlimited class racing. Chickawaukie Ice Boat Club sponsored the regatta, as we have twice a year for the last five years. Nina Fleming was our PRO, running 15 races in each class – she often posted the race results on Sailwave even before we had returned to the hanger!

The Bunker Inn was our lodging and breakfast host, and we had great dinners at the Lime Rock Golf Club and Northern Maine Brewing Company, along with a final BBQ prepared by BA and BB Hredocik, who now live at Loring. Iceboating’s newest wunderfilmer turned his talents to the runways with this teaser. He assures us the best is yet to come:

Join us for the Second Annual Eastern Blokart Championships at Loring, October 8-12. The Limestone Chamber of Commerce will have an Oktoberfest on Oct. 11, with beer garden, chili cook-off and more. Watch the New England Land Sailors facebook page for details.
