Coastal lakes have fared well in this latest round. Silver Lake was skated today, and we had a look at Megunticook. The surface is ok, about like Dammy last time, but with some minmal uncured shell. Fisherman reports 10”. Too thick for the ax.
We didn’t sail this lake last season so perhaps it’s about time. There’s a little more precipitation coming before the temps drop into the low twenties Sunday night setting up Monday for a possible sailing day.
Broads, looking north.
Looking west from he Turnpike side. The black hole, of which there are a few, is solid black ice.
Depending on what happens tomorrow, I think we should set up at Bog Bridge Monday and see what happens. Any takers?
