Hi Bill, We sailed kitewings from Ellecoya up to center harbor yesterday. The broads and all the way north to Six Mile were hard grey ice with a lot of speed bumps. There is a ridge extending east from Welch that is crossable in many spots. You start to get into some adhered styrofoam further north mixed with patches of grey ice. The styrofoam only seems to be an inch or so thick. There are also some patches of very dry (slow) drifted snow about another half inch on top of the styrofoam in places too. I’m curious what your scouts say. I know Randy Rice was out yesterday off of Leavett beach. Pat Furr.
